Combined Suites vs Separates

The Wedding Collection has been designed with customisation in mind, allowing you to create your ideal suite via the Collection Separates or save time by choosing a two–, three–, or four–piece suite (‘piece’ refers to the number of cards per set, see below). Combined Suites include the same paper type and print method across all pieces for quick, convenient ordering, while the ‘Separates’ Collections allow you to mix-and-match papers, print methods, and alternative options across the collection designs.

Combined Suites are available in the following configurations:

  • 2-Piece: Invitation + Response Card with Classic Envelopes & Return Addressing

  • 3-Piece: Invitation + Response Card + Details Insert with Classic Envelopes & Return Addressing

  • 4-Piece: Save The Date + Invitation + Response Card + Details Insert with Classic Envelopes & Return Addressing

What can be customised?

Orientation, calligraphy, font(s), paper, envelope & ink colour(s), and print methods, as well as minimal layout changes to accommodate wording.

Print Methods, Papers, & Colour Palettes

The following swatches are intended as a guide only, actual physical and printed colours may differ.
Colors displayed on-screen vary depending on monitors and screen resolution, and the digital representation may not be exact.

Print methods

Fine Art Digital

Flat', or digital printing is the most cost effective and straight forward option generally with a faster turnaround time. FPCo. uses archival-quality Epson UltraChrome PRO10 pigment inks for digital printing, producing accurate, fade-resistant colour on a range of beautiful fine art and cotton papers. Not available for metallic colours. White Digital is available for coloured papers on limited request, inquire for pricing.

This method is available for inserts only paired with Classic papers (house stocks, descriptions below).

Letterpress

A traditional print method dating back to the mid-15th to 19th centuries, designs are re-produced onto ‘plates’ to use with a vintage letterpress machine. Your design is pushed into paper via the plate during printing resulting in the distinctive 'pillow'-like impression letterpress is known for. For metallic colours (in most cases) it's recommended that you choose foil stamping, as metallic letterpress inks are muted when printed.

This method is available with all house papers (descriptions below), and custom options may be accommodated.

Hot Foil Stamping

Hot foil stamping uses heat, pressure, and blocking foil. To achieve a foil stamp, designs are re-produced onto a metal plate which comes into contact with foil, and the heated die causes the foil to bond to the paper surface. Designs are lightly imprinted for a subtly textured feel. House colours: gold, champagne, rose gold, copper, or silver. Additional colours and effects (eg. holographic) available on request, inquire for pricing.

This method is available with all house papers (descriptions below), and custom options may be accommodated.

House papers

Paper Production Disclaimer 2023: Ongoing supply disruptions have affected availability and pricing across paper mills globally. If your first choice is not available we will work with you to find a suitable substitute. Suites including handmade papers also require additional lead times for ordering and production.

The print method(s) chosen will generally determine the paper/paper weight(s) best suited for your pieces. Specific paper details for your order will be outlined during the design and proofing process.

Classic Standard FSC® Certified/Green-e Certified, sustainable cover stock or 100% cotton. This paper is a great all-rounder, it has a soft, lightly textured feel and works well with digital print methods. Weight range 110-179lb/300-484gsm.

paper_110.jpg

Classic Heavy is either FSC® Certified/Green-e Certified, sustainable cover stock or 100% cotton, in various colours. Up to twice the thickness of Standard stock and ideal for both letterpress and foil. Weight range 184-220lb/500-640gsm.

paper_220.jpg

Handmade* 100% cotton. Artisan paper with a soft texture and beautiful deckled-edges. As with most handmade products, each sheet may have slight variations in colour, size, and texture. Mid-weight (approx. 200gsm) in a range of neutral colours.

Unless otherwise requested your main cards (Save The Date/Invitation) will be printed on Classic Heavy card stock, with your smaller inserts (Response Card/Details Insert/etc.) printed on Classic Standard card stock across all print methods. As a general rule, heavier paper stocks and/or multiple piece suites will increase the postage cost for mailing your invitations.

Choosing Your Colour Palette

Colours may be customised to match your event styling and palette across a wide range of inks, foils, cardstock, envelopes, and Add-Ons. For simplified ordering you may choose to match your scheme to one of the Collection’s sample palettes from our galleries, or FPCo. can offer suggestions based on your design choices. Letterpress and Foil suites are priced assuming a single ink/foil color across all pieces (1-Colour). You have the option to specify, review, and adjust your colour preferences once your project design begins.

Additional costs apply for specialty materials and multi-colour print runs. Inquire for details.

Handmade Papers

SWATCHES_handmade-paper-colours__2021.jpg

Handmade paper is available in a range of colours as a ‘per-card’ Add-On with any order. Handmade Envelopes are not included in The Wedding Collection however they may be requested if production and timing allows (additional costs apply). Handmade envelopes are priced on availability and may extend your production timeline. Handmade paper may have minor irregularities in shape and texture, and when paired with letterpress or foil printing your stationery can be a little varied or inconsistent. If you'd like to see samples of these papers please get in touch before ordering.

Envelopes & Liners

Classic Envelopes are included for all applicable cards/inserts from our extensive range of quality, Euro (contour/pointed) or square flap envelopes.

Solid, vellum, illustrated, or custom Envelope Liners may also be added to your suite via the Collection Add-ons.

*Standard digital printing is not available on all envelope colours.

ENVELOPE Addressing

Return Addressing is included with all Collection orders in the print method(s) chosen to correspond with your suite.
