A fairytale in Provence; story-book inspired illustrations with nods to the couple’s Scottish connections add to a classically styled garden celebration.

DESIGN NOTES

Save The Date: 2-Colour letterpress with a blind deboss ‘thistle’ detail, wrapped in floral printed parchment and mailed in a translucent vellum envelope.

Invitation: Watercolour illustrations of wildflowers, garden critters, and subtle hints at the couple’s musical interests combine in a full-sized wreath printed digitally on double-thick, white cotton. Letterpressed in matte gold. Inserts digitally printed in matte gold on ivory, with the ‘Details’ card duplexed to soft white. A vintage-style monogram pressed center within the floral wreath. The suite was wrapped in floral printed vellum, secured with striped grosgrain ribbon and sealed with a Scottish Thistle design in white sealing wax. Pale taupe envelopes lined with a custom pinstripe finished the assembly, featuring the previous Save The Date’s blind debossed thistle on the back flap.

Day-of Stationery: ‘Reserved’ tags in ecru with black-and-white striped ribbon. The illustrations carried through to calligraphed escort cards and signage, and to the two-toned mounted table numbers. Dinner menus were styled as horizontal tri-folds, with a floral die-cut following the watercolour border with guest names in black calligraphy. A small butterfly featured top-right in three colour-ways to indicate meal choices. Cocktail napkins, laser-engraved stir sticks, and illustrated vow books completed the couple’s corresponding stationery.

Handfasting Ribbon: Rebecca and Jason’s ceremony included a traditional Scottish handfasting. To personalise this event further the ribbon was hand-calligraphed with the couple’s family tree in black ink on ribbon, beginning each tree at one end and finishing with the couple’s names in center.
